From 10 to 18 April 2019, a delegation of Indian tribes from the Brazilian Amazon will be in Geneva to raise awareness of the protection of the world’s largest forest and present some aspects of their ancestral cultures and knowledge of nature.
Invited by the Association cidadania social e sustentabilidade (ACSSUS), representatives of different tribes will give several conferences and workshops at the Maison des Associations and at the DUMATO Shop.
A big party “Journey to the heart of the Amazon” will take place on Saturday 13 April in the Uptown hall rue de la Servette 2 with Amazonian music concerts and several stands, one of which will be hosted by DUMATO.
In the DUMATO Shop you can meet, discuss, exchange and learn with representatives of the Makuxi, Wapixana, Satéré-Mawé, Munduruku, Manaos, Kambeba tribes. Pajé (Shaman) women will introduce you to Amazonian rituals and make you aware of how to listen to nature. Don’t hesitate to come and see us. Free admission.
