General conditions of sale

The present general conditions of sale govern the contractual relations between any non-trading natural person, hereinafter the Customer, making a purchase on the site, and “DUMATO – Merckling”, hereinafter DUMATO, located at the address: 18, rue des Grottes 1201 Geneva – Switzerland.


These general conditions are intended to define the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with the online sale of products offered by DUMATO to the customer. For any order of product or service, the customer implicitly accepts the present general conditions of sale. The present general conditions come into force as of the approval of the online order.


The products for sale on the DUMATO website contain the necessary information that allows the potential buyer to know, before placing the final order, the essential characteristics of the products he wishes to purchase. Product color or label size differences may occur without affecting product content and composition. The offers presented by DUMATO are valid as long as they are announced on the site and within the limits of available stocks.

By clicking on “order” the customer gives his consent to order the items selected in his basket. The “click” of the customer under the purchase order constitutes an electronic signature which has, between the parties, the same value as a handwritten signature. The customer undertakes to provide the requested information accurately and truthfully.

The price of the purchases displayed in the shopping cart of the customer on the site www.dumato.chest due by the customer at the time of the order, without discount. The valid prices are the prices mentioned at the time the order is placed, including any discounts

The secure payment is made by credit card, PayPal or bank transfer (transfer fees being borne by the buyer).

The confirmation of the order will be the subject of an e-mail.

DUMATO reserves the right to refuse, or cancel an order without giving reasons. Its decision of acceptance is sent by e-mail to the customer. In the event of refusal or cancellation, the customer’s claims against DUMATO shall be limited to the return of the advance payment.

DUMATO reserves the right to suspend or cancel any order and/or delivery in case of non-payment by the customer, payment incident and/or fraud in the use of the site or the means of payment chosen by the customer.


For each order for which the total amount is less than CHF 100, shipping costs will be charged additionally. Shipping costs, if any, are shown separately. For each order with a total value of CHF 100 or more, shipping costs are free.

For shipments outside Switzerland, any taxes (VAT & customs import duties for example) may be charged on arrival of the package at destination and are the responsibility of the recipient.

The ordered articles are sent to the delivery address chosen by the customer during the sale and the customer receives a tracking number by e-mail.

Upon receipt the customer must notify by e-mail any defect or anomaly affecting the goods, within 3 working days. 


Payments on this website are made by credit card through a secure payment system. This website secures your confidential information with a Let’s Encrypt SSL Certificate. The exchanged information is thus encrypted with SSL (Secure Socket Layer) before being transmitted. 


The customer has a right of withdrawal that allows him to return the Products without having to justify reasons, provided that the value of the order exceeds 80 francs. However, return costs will remain the responsibility of the customer. The customer can exercise this right within 7 days from receipt of the products. The products ordered must be returned in a condition suitable for new marketing and without having been used, in their original packaging, to the address DUMATO, 18 rue de Grottes 1201 Geneva – Switzerland. DUMATO will proceed with the refund within 30 days following the exercise of the right of withdrawal. 

DUMATO is committed to the proper performance of the obligations resulting from the contract. However, DUMATO may exonerate itself from all or part of its liability by providing proof that the non-performance or improper performance of the contract is attributable either to the customer, or to the unforeseeable fact of a third party to the contract, or to a case of force majeure constituting unforeseeable events.


The present general conditions can be modified at any time.

It is the responsibility of the customer to regularly inform himself of the content and possible modifications of these general conditions by consulting the site.


The relationship between DUMATO and the customer is governed by Swiss law. For any dispute the place of jurisdiction is Geneva.
